CVE-2019-5506 — Clustered Data ONTAP versions 9.0 and higher do not enforce hostname verification under certain circumstances making them susceptible to impersonation via man-in-the-middle attacks.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks utilizing data configured using the "system node virtual-machine hypervisor" command. <br><br> This command is not supported on hardware-based platforms - it is supported only on virtual platforms such as ONTAP Select.
